If you're using Printify for print-on-demand products in your Shopify store, setting up a shipping profile ensures accurate rates and smooth order processing. Follow these steps to create a shipping profile for Printify in Shopify.

Step 1: Access Your Shopify Shipping Settings

  1. Log in to your Shopify admin panel.

  2. Click on Settings in the bottom-left corner.

  3. Select Shipping and delivery from the menu.

Step 2: Create a New Shipping Profile

  1. Scroll down to the Shipping profiles section.

  2. Click Create new profile.

  3. Name your profile (e.g., “Printify Shipping”).

  4. Under the Products section, add the products you fulfill with Printify.

Step 3: Set Up Printify as the Shipping Origin

  1. Scroll to the Shipping origins section.

  2. Click Manage and ensure your Printify location is selected as the fulfillment origin.

    • If Printify is not listed, go to Settings > Locations, and ensure Printify is added as a location.

Step 4: Add Shipping Zones

  1. In the Shipping to section, click Create shipping zone.

  2. Name the zone (e.g., “United States” or “International”).

  3. Select the countries or regions where you want to ship.

  4. Click Done.

Step 5: Add Printify Shipping Rates

Printify provides shipping rates based on the product type and destination. You have two options:

Option 1: Use Printify's Recommended Rates (Best for automated updates)

  1. Go to Printify > Manage My Stores.

  2. Select your Shopify store.

  3. Click Shipping and enable Automatic Shipping Rates.

  4. Return to Shopify, and Printify’s rates should automatically appear under the shipping zone.

Option 2: Manually Add Shipping Rates (Best for custom pricing)

  1. Under the Shipping zone section, click Add rate.

  2. Choose Set up your own rates.

  3. Name the rate (e.g., “Standard Shipping”).

  4. Set the price based on Printify’s shipping costs (refer to Printify’s pricing table).

  5. Click Done.

Step 6: Save Your Shipping Profile

Once you’ve added your shipping rates, click Save to finalize your shipping profile.

Additional Tips:

  • Check Printify’s Shipping Costs Regularly: If you’re using manual rates, update them periodically to reflect Printify’s latest shipping prices.

  • Offer Free Shipping: You can set your rates to $0 and adjust product prices to cover shipping costs.

  • Test Your Setup: Place a test order to ensure the correct rates appear at checkout.

By setting up a shipping profile correctly, you ensure that your customers are charged the right amount for shipping, leading to a seamless checkout experience. If you have any issues, contact Printify Support or Shopify Support for assistance.
