How to Connect a GoDaddy Domain to Shopify

If you’ve purchased your domain through GoDaddy and want to connect it to your Shopify store, follow these simple steps to get everything set up. With this guide, you’ll have your domain pointing to your Shopify store in no time.

Step 1: Log into Your GoDaddy Account

Go to <a href="https://www.godaddy.com" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">GoDaddy.com</a> and log into your account.

Navigate to your list of domains under My Products.

Update the Points to field to: shops.myshopify.com.

Enter your GoDaddy domain (e.g., <code>www.yourdomain.com</code>) and click Next.

Shopify will automatically detect your settings. If everything is set up correctly, you’ll see a confirmation message.

1. Log into your Shopify admin panel.
2. Go to Settings &gt; Domains.
3. Click Connect existing domain.
4. Enter your GoDaddy domain (e.g., <code>www.yourdomain.com</code>) and click Next.
5. Shopify will automatically detect your settings. If everything is set up correctly, you’ll see a confirmation message.

It may take up to 48 hours for the DNS changes to propagate across the internet.

Once the connection is verified, your domain will show as "Connected" in your Shopify admin.
