If you’re experiencing issues with fulfillment or notice that a product is no longer available from your supplier, follow this step-by-step troubleshooting guide to resolve the issue efficiently.
1. Check the Supplier's Website & Inventory
✅ Confirm Product Availability – Log into your supplier's platform (AliExpress etc.) and check if the product is still listed and has stock.
✅ Look for Supplier Updates – Some suppliers notify sellers about discontinued items or stock issues. If you are still unsure, message the supplier on AliExpress and ask them questions about the product stock.
✅ Try a Different Supplier – If your main supplier is out of stock, look for an alternative source that carries the same or similar product.
2. Verify Your Fulfillment Settings
✅ Check Your Shopify DSers Sync – Ensure your store is properly connected to your fulfillment service. In many cases this will be DSers.
✅ Confirm Product Mapping – If the product has been removed or changed, you may need to re-map it to a new supplier. If you supplier changes something in their prodcut listing this CAN change the link used to order the product. You will need to remap the correct AliExpress link to DSers.
If DSers is showing your prodcut as "unmapped" you can remap an updated or new link within minutes! Check out this video:
3. Contact Your Supplier
✅ Message the Supplier Directly – If the product disappeared or isn't fulfilling, reach out via chat on AliExpress. Click here to learn how do I contact a supplier.
✅ Ask for Restock Information – Some suppliers may restock soon, or they may offer a similar product.
✅ Inquire About Alternative Products – If the product is permanently discontinued, ask if they have a comparable alternative. Otherwise start searching for a new supplier.
4. Adjust Your Store & Product Listings
✅ Remove or Hide the Out-of-Stock Product – If the item isn’t coming back, update your store to avoid selling an unavailable product.
✅ Find a Backup Supplier – Prevent future disruptions by sourcing multiple suppliers for high-demand products.
5. Prevent Future Issues
✅ Use a Supplier That Offers Reliable Stock Updates – Some platforms allow real-time inventory tracking.
✅ Keep a List of Backup Suppliers – Having alternative sources helps prevent fulfillment delays.
