How to Find the Pinned or Featured Posts in a Facebook Group

🔎 How to Find the Pinned or Featured Posts in a Facebook Group

If you’ve joined a Facebook group community, you might have heard the term “pinned post” or seen someone refer to the “featured section.”

These are key posts that group admins want you to see first because they often contain the most important info, announcements, or helpful links.

Here’s how to find them:

đŸ’» On Desktop:

  1. Go to the Facebook Group.
    Navigate to the EB Facebook Group you’re in from the left sidebar or search bar.

  2. Look at the Top of the Page.
    Right under the cover photo and group name, you’ll see a menu with tabs like:

    • About

    • Discussion

    • Featured (formerly known as Pinned Posts)

  3. Click “Featured.”
    This will bring you to a section with all the important posts that admins have marked to stand out. You’ll often find:

    • Welcome messages

    • Zoom links

    • Updates or schedule changes

    • Step-by-step instructions

    • FAQ links

đŸ“± On Mobile:

  1. Open the Facebook App.

  2. Go to the Group.

  3. Tap on the “Featured” tab or scroll down just a bit—Facebook now usually places featured posts near the top of the group feed.

  4. You may also see a “Pinned Post” banner on the top post—this is usually the one admins want you to read first.
