📌 Why Use Keyboard Shortcuts?

Keyboard shortcuts help you type faster by automatically replacing abbreviations with full words or phrases. For example, typing “omw” can automatically expand to “On my way!”

📱 How to Add a Keyboard Shortcut on iPhone

  1. Open Settings ⚙️

  2. Tap General

  3. Tap Keyboard

  4. Select Text Replacement

  5. Tap the ➕ (plus) icon in the top right corner

  6. Enter a Phrase – This is what you want the shortcut to type out (e.g., “On my way!”).

  7. Enter a Shortcut – The abbreviation you’ll type (e.g., “omw”).

  8. Tap Save

📢 Example:

If you set:

  • Phrase: “Hi Vicki 🖤 My name is Myles and I am the founder of Forensic Myles, an edgy true crime inspired sweatshirt brand! We are relaunching and currently looking for ambassadors to help promote our brand, is this something you’d be interested in?"

  • Shortcut: “message1”

Now, every time you type “message1” your iPhone will replace it with “Hi Vicki 🖤 My name is Myles and I am the founder of Forensic Myles, an edgy true crime inspired sweatshirt brand! We are relaunching and currently looking for ambassadors to help promote our brand, is this something you’d be interested in?" automatically.
