I've been getting this question a lot lately and wanted to provide some relief! ❤️
"I did not purchase my domain with a - in it, why do I see that on my Shopify Account?"
Every store made on Shopify will have dashes in it, this is not visible to your customers.
This is just on the backend of Shopify and identifies your store.
For example, when you connect to apps like Oberlo, you'll use the name with dashes in it... not your usual domain.
Below is an example:
Your domain is justlaugh.co
on Shopify it will show as just-laugh.myshopify.com
Your domain visible to customers will still be www.justlaugh.co (no dashes)
When you set up an app like Oberlo, you'll use just-laugh.myshopify.com
