The Facebook Pixel

Although the Pixel might seem daunting, I promise you it isn't! The secret? Set it up through Shopify! I know this might sound counter-intuitive but Shopify has updated with a super fast and easy system that gets your pixel created and connected in a matter of minutes!

If you haven't already set up your Business Manager, Ad Account, and Facebook page, I highly recommend setting it up during this step, through Shopify! I will walk you through how to do this.

So without further ado - let's get right into it!

If you would like to watch a video set up, follow below for video and step-by-step instructions. Connecting to Shopify is after the ad account is created in the video πŸ˜ƒ

Step 1: log in to Shopify

Step 2: Click on Online Store and select preferences

Step 3: Scroll down the page to where it says "set up Facebook", click it

Step 4: Next, you are going to follow the prompts - select your Facebook account. This is important, you want to use your personal account! The reason for this is Facebook already knows you, they trust you so it is going to be easier for you to get your account approved and if it's not, prove your identity!

Frequently asked questions: Will my customers be able to find my personal Facebook or will my friends/family be able to find out I am starting this business through the Ads account? Nope! Don't worry about that!

*Hot Tip! If you don't use the name on your drivers license as your Facebook profile name, change it, at least as you are setting up your account. If your account does get disabled, Facebook will ask you for ID verification, it makes it easier if your profile name matches your ID!

Step 5: If you have already created a business manager, select it from the drop-down menu, if you haven't, there will be an option that says "create business manager" click it and follow the prompts to set it up!

Step 5: Pretty much the same as step 4, if you have already created an ad account, select it from the drop-down menu, if you haven't, there will be an option that says "create ad account" click it and follow the prompts to set it up!

Step 6: Pretty much the same as steps 4&5, if you have already created a Facebook page, select it from the drop-down menu, if you haven't, there will be an option that says "create Facebook page" click it and follow the prompts to set it up!

Step 7: Next is data sharing, they automatically select this for you so just move on!

Step 8: Click finish set up and that's it! You are good to go!
