So you got your first return...

Don't sweat it, this is all part of growing your own business! Check out this article to learn the simplest way to handle a return:

There are two ways you can go about this, you can have the customer return the item and you offer a refund or you can have the item returned, I will walk you through both.

Be sure to have a clear refund policy and stick to it!

Pro Tip: Never offer a return until you have the item in your hands!

Where do I have customers return their items?

The easiest way is to have customers return their items to you. You will not have them return them to the Aliexpress supplier, the reasons are this can get very expensive and take a long time to process.

When the item is returned to you, you can either have it shipped to your personal address or a P.O. box.

When you receive the item, you can take it as an opportunity to take pictures for your social media or offer a giveaway!

Returns with POD

If you have a POD store you can and should still offer returns, people like to know that if they don't like their item they can send it back!

However, if you make customized items, such as items with personalized names, etc. you can choose not to offer returns.

Processing a Return

Step 1: Process return

• Click return items

Step 2: Select reason for return and create shipping label

• Select why your customer wants to return the item and create shipping label, then click proceed.

Step 3: Choose shipping provider and click return label

Customer Ships to You • You Process Refund

Step 1: Customer returns

• The customer reaches out to you and says they want to return their item, you say no problem and provide them with your return address.

Step 2: You receive the item and process the refund

• Once you have received the item you can process the refund, you can also offer the customer a refund on their shipping but it is up to you!

In this case, the customer will purchase their own postage, it is up to you if you would like to refund it or not.
