What is the Follow/Unfollow method?

So you just started your Instagram and you want to get a ton of followers fast but don't want to spend any money on it? The Follow/Unfollow method is your key to success! This method is basically exactly what it sounds like, you follow a ton of people and then you unfollow them down the line. Check out these detailed instructions on how to get this done!

Step 1: Follow

The point of this method is not only to get followers, but to get followers that will engage with your content, you want these people to stick around.

  1. Head on over to an Instagram account that has similar content to yours.

  2. Start following their followers, the people who comment on their posts and/or the people who like their posts.

Be sure not to follow more than 25 people an hour and only do this twice a day. Also, do not start doing this until you have warmed your account up see How to Set up Your Instagram for more details on that.

Step 2: Unfollow

This step is really up to you, it is not super important for the success of your account.

  1. Start unfollowing the people you followed.

  2. Do not unfollow more than 25 people an hour and do not do this more than twice a day. Make sure that you do this in a different hour than when you did the following.

  3. That's it!

You can follow up to 7,000 people before you need to start unfollowing people. My suggestion is don't worry about it, their is a common misconception that the ratio of followers/follows on your account has some kind of effect on your success, this isn't true. What you want for a successful Instagram account is ENGAGEMENT!

Daily Schedule Suggestion

9:00am - Follow 25 relevant followers

11:00am - Unfollow (if you want)

1:00pm - Follow 25 relevant followers

3:00pm - Unfollow (if you want)
